Back to Where It All Started

In 2018, before there was a Veteran Entrepreneur Alliance, there was one idea and one event. The very first Veteran Entrepreneur Summit was held in Boise as a small gathering for veterans and spouses who wanted to explore business ownership. There was no nonprofit and no formal network, only a shared belief that the same drive that fuels service could also power entrepreneurship.

That one event sparked something much bigger. From those conversations and connections, the idea for the Veteran Entrepreneur Alliance (VEA) was born. What started as a single summit grew into a statewide movement supporting hundreds of veteran and spouse entrepreneurs across Idaho.

Then came disruption. The Summit paused in 2020 because of COVID, followed by several difficult years as the founder and his daughter battled cancer. Through it all,…
