What is FOB VEA?

If you've spent any time around the military, you know what a FOB is. A Forward Operating Base. The position a unit operates from when they're in the fight. Not the rear. Not the safe zone. The place where the work actually gets done.

That's the model behind FOB VEA, the member platform we built for the Veteran Entrepreneur Alliance. It's the digital home base for veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs who are building real businesses and want a resource that takes them as seriously as they take themselves.

Why we built it

Most member platforms are afterthoughts. A login screen, a stale resource folder, a calendar with three events on it, and a community board nobody touches. We had one of those. We retired it.

What's there now is a ground-up rebuild designed around a single question: if a veteran or milspouse entrepreneur logged in tonight at 10pm, after a 14-hour day, what would they actually need? Not what would look good on a brochure. What would help them move their business forward in the next 20 minutes.

That question drove every decision.

What's inside

When you log in, the first thing you see is your Mission Brief. Your onboarding status, your quick actions, the latest resources we've added, and the most recent update from HQ. Nothing buried three menus deep.

The onboarding itself is AI-assisted. You fill out a comprehensive intake form, book a one-on-one review meeting with our team, work through clarifying questions in a personalized document, sit down for a final meeting, and walk away with a complete onboarding report bundle built specifically for your business. Not a template. Not a generic plan. Yours.

The Learning Hub is split into Field Manuals and Courses. Field Manuals are quick, single-topic deep dives for when you need something fast. Courses are multi-module programs that build skill step by step. We have 29 of them live right now and we are adding more constantly. Topics cover marketing, sales, finance, founder skills, operations, customer retention, and the foundations every business owner needs. Every course opens with a Commander's Briefing and ends with an After Action Review. Because we know who we built this for.

The Resource Library is where the interactive tools live. A break-even calculator that generates a full financial intelligence report. What this actually means

Three things are happening here that we want you to understand.

First, this platform was built for veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs specifically. Not adapted from a generic SaaS tool. Not borrowed from a corporate intranet template. Every label, every flow, every piece of copy is shaped by who is on the other side of the screen.

Second, the depth is real. 29 courses and field manuals. 11 interactive tools. AI-assisted onboarding. A full content engine running underneath it. This is not a brochure with a login.

Third, it keeps growing. Every week, more resources go in. The platform is built to scale, and our roadmap includes admin and partner tools, expanded reporting, and deeper member-to-member features.
